4/12/2017 – Khaled Sehra. A collection of popular Arabic songs sung by the famous Algerian singer Khaled.  Khaled Hadj Ibrahim, better known as Khaled, is an Algerian raï singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Oran. He began recording in his early teens under the name Cheb Khaled. His most famous songs are “Didi“, “Aïcha” and “C’est la vie” as well as “Alech Taadi”.

6/12/2017 – Carnatic Classical Music on Mandolin. Artist – U. Srinivas. Uppalapu Srinivas (28 February 1969 – 19 September 2014) was a virtuoso Indian mandolin maestro and composer belonging to the classical Carnatic musical tradition. Srinivas was one of the most globally beloved South Indian musicians and is regarded as the Mozart of classical Indian music. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1998 by Government of India and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2009.

7/12/2017 – Sound of Kutch (Instrumental music). Tribes from Sindh, Pakistan, Persia, Africa, Central Asia and Europe brought their music to Kutch – music that has over the years given a unique identity to the region. Instruments like Surando, JodiaPava, Morchang, Santaar, Ramsagar, Shehnai, Nagada, Dakla, Ghado-Ghamelo, Manjeera, Jhanj, are used here. Majority of the artistes who have played the instruments in this album are engaged in occupations like cattle herding, farming, black smithy, truck driving, daily wage labour, and manufacturing of handicrafts.

11/12/2017 – South Indian Classical Music. Artists: E Gayathri on Veena, N P Krishnan on Nagaswaram, N Ramani on Flute, U Srinivas on Mandolin, K Vaidyanathan on Violin and Kadri Gopalnath on Saxophone.

12/12/2017 – Best of Hariprasad Chaurasia. An internationally acclaimed flautist of India, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia is a very popular and eminent artiste par excellence who is known for his outstanding contribution in popularizing Indian Classical Music all over the world.

13/12/2017 – Colours of Rajasthan. Instrumental music composed by Taufiq Qureshi. Born in Mumbai, to the legendary tabla player, Ustad Alla Rakha Taufiq Qureshi has worked both on private albums and background scores of many Hindi movies namely: Damini, Black, Devdas, Mission Kashmir and Dil Chahta Hai. His elder sibling is the world famous tabla maestro , Ustad Zakir Hussain.

18/12/2017 – Sound Escapes (Music of the Deserts).  Composed by Ustad Zakir Hussain. Zakir Hussain (born 9 March 1951) is an Indian tabla player in Hindustani classical music, musical producer, film actor and composer.

He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1988, and the Padma Bhushan in 2002, by the Government of India. He was also awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1990, given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India’s National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama. In 1999, he was awarded the United States National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowship, the highest award given to traditional artists and musicians.
