“Don’t worry when you are not recognised but strive to be worthy of recognition.”

Recognition Day is an annual event where students are awarded for their hard work, perseverance and determination. This year, Recognition Day was held on 4 May 2019 to reward the achievers of the academic year 2018-19.

The event was graced by the presence of our Chairman, Mr Prafull Goradia, Vice Chairperson, Mrs Nayana Goradia along with Principal, Mrs Tania Joshi, the PTA representatives and the proud parents of the students.

The ceremony commenced with the mellifluous rendition of the ‘Chaturang’, by the school choir. The principal addressed the gathering and shared a valuable insight into theSchool being a temple of learning. She also highlighted the excellent CBSE results of class XII, with 12 hundreds in various subjects, making our School’s performance the best among neighbourhood schools.

The Indian School believes in the holistic development of students. To encourage the pursuance of excellence as a way of life, our School has instituted recognition awards for scholastic achievement, all round accomplishment, computers, art, drama, music, dance and sports. Recognition is conferred on students with 100 percent attendance, for excellence in individual subjects and marked improvement in academic performance. Also, students who bring accolades to the School by winning scholarships at national and international sports events receive certificates of recognition and scholarships.

Chairman Mr Prafull Goradia presented the first award of the day. He commented on a lighter note that he always enjoyed giving away prizes to young achievers, since he had never won one himself! The awardees represent excellence in their respective fields and set a benchmark for others to emulate.

The ceremony ended with the School song. It was a proud day for all the teachers, the awardees and their dear parents.
