Environment Lab

In tune with tech-enabled education, we have special Smart Board classrooms where classes are regularly held in an interactive visual mode. Curriculum based learning material is uploaded on the net and class notes, worksheets, school notices are e-mailed to students. Parents can also similarly send their queries, suggestions to the teachers and the management via the net.

Students have access to classroom audio, video, graphics and 3D animation which makes learning a pleasure.But we, at The Indian School make judicious use of technology, not letting it overtake classroom teaching . We have dedicated teachers who have a pulse on every student which cannot be substituted by technology.

We also take special care to see that vocabulary, hand-writing, book reading do not get swept away by the winds of hi-tech.

COMPUTER LAB

We have three State of the Art Computer labs for Junior, Senior and Sr. Secondary wings spread over an area of nearly 1000 sq. feet, with 70 fully updated computers. Broadband and MTNL Internet connection is available through network. The Audiovisual room with its resource facilities has a full sized projection screen to be used for presentation by children, teachers and guest speakers which aid in making the learning experience multi dimensional.

Computer Science is an integral part of the Academic Curriculum and is compulsory for students from Class I onwards. NIIT Computer Aided Learning syllabus is integrated with the CBSE curriculum. Students participate in the National Cyber Olympiad conducted by National Science Foundation and National Informatics conducted by CBSE.

MATHEMATICS LABS

The school Mathematics lab is a spacious and well ventilated room which welcomes learners of all ages to explore and unravel the mysteries of the world of Mathematics. Handmade projects and activities which stimulate curiosity and encourage logical thinking are on display. Children are allowed to us the computer with internet facilities. A timetable has been made incorporating one period per week for each class to come to the lab for activities at all levels. It is our belief that sooner the children come to understand mathematical concepts; the sooner they will develop an affinity for the subject. This will go a long way towards turning maths from being the most dreaded of the 3 Rs to being a creative joyful land enriching learning experience.

We have state-of-the-art Science Labs, one each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The labs are equipped with audio-visual (AV) facilities to enable students to stay in touch with the latest developments in science and technology. Our labs have a separate reference section and students have access to the computers. The school is also developing an integrated Science Activity Centre (SAC) for primary and middle School.

Exhibition is held by the students each year in August to showcase their discoveries and inventions, It is a culmination of the Science Month.

The school houses an excellent Engineering Graphics Lab with all the necessary equipments to train our students into future architects.

The Fashion Studies Lab has the required sewing machines, designing equipment to cater to the students learning of Fashion as an optional subject.
