Graduation Ceremony for Batch 2010 : 29th Jan 2010
Graduation Ceremony for the batch 2010 of The Indian School was held on 29th January 2010 in the school auditorium, which was also attended by the parents of students of class XII who will soon graduate to colleges & pursue different vocations in life. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chairman Mr.Prafull Goradia who in his inspirational speech, appealed to students to take help of these pillars of success :-
1. Be goal oriented
2. Dream big and work relentlessly towards its achievement
3. Develop a scheme for alternative career in the form of a good hobby.
The Chairman’s speech was greatly appreciated by the parents who also took this opportunity to thank the management & teaching staff, and express their gratitude for imagination & farsightedness of the management in introducing innovative methods of learning and making the school a well knit family. Efforts of the school to work in association with Mathematical Science Foundation (MSF) and set up a highly resourceful mathematics laboratory was applauded by them. The podium was also shared by the students of the outgoing batch to express their deep felt regard for the school management & teachers who nurtured them & played a vital role in shaping their personalities from classes Nursery to XII. Students felt nostalgic as they recalled the class room activities, trips, assemblies, talks, workshops, sports events, annual days, applause and advice offered to them time & again through out their stay at school. Students lit diyas and walked up to the stage and sang the school song with a feeling of pride & sense of belongingness to the school.
They received citations of graduation and folders with their names embossed on them.
When ‘Face scapes’ a PowerPoint presentation was shown to the audience, many had a lump in their throats & with moist eyes, they smiled as they saw glimpses from their younger days brought alive.
Ms.Manleen Ahluwalia, Principal of the school, reiterated the mission of the school to be an institution which provides a platform to the budding citizens of India to soar high & achieve global success, with foundations laid deep & strong in Indian values.
The balloon releasing ceremony marked the end of the ceremony symbolizing ‘students’ embarking on a new journey ahead in their lives.
