Ambedkar Jayanti observed in Middle School
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Ambedkar Jayanti was observed at School in enthusiasm, respect and a spirit of learning. The week-long celebration, held from 7th April to 14th April, aimed to honour the life, values and contribution of Dr Ambedkar to India's evolution.
Various engaging and meaningful activities were conducted through the week to help students appreciate Dr Ambedkar’s legacy. Each class contributed uniquely to the celebration.
Class 6 engaged with the famous qoutes of the grest leader. The children beautifully illustrated and explained some of his most impactful and thought-provoking teachings, reflecting on their meaning and relevance in today’s world. The activity encouraged students to delve deeper into his philosophies and ideals.
Class 7 worked on the creative concept of a “Tree of Qualities”, where each branch of the tree represented a value or virtue exemplified by Dr Ambedkar., namely, determination, knowledge, justice, resilience, equality and leadership. The students illustrated these qualities in drawings and short descriptions, making the tree a symbolic representation of his inspiring character.
Class 8 took part in a Poster Making Activity on Dr Ambedkar’s Life and Works. The posters depicted important milestones in Dr Ambedkar’s life, including his early struggles, educational achievements, role as the principal architect of the Indian constitution, and his tireless efforts towards eradicating social discrimination. The posters reflected the students’ creativity, research, and deep respect for his life and mission.
