Earth Day Celebration across the classes (22nd April 2026)

On the occasion of Earth Day, the School organised a vibrant and meaningful celebration during the zero period. The  programme was designed to remind students of their responsibility towards the planet and to motivate them to adopt sustainable habits. Each class contributed through unique activities that blended creativity, awareness and action.

The youngest learners in Pre School and Pre Primary began the day with a round of gardening and paper-bag making, followed by a seed-bomb takeaway. Their ramp walk, accompanied by slogans, filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and innocence, showing that even the smallest voices can appeal loudly for Mother Earth.

Classes 1 and 2 added to the spirit by making seed paper and creating a pledge wall. Each child wrote down one eco-friendly habit, turning promises into a collective commitment.

Classes 3 to 5 brought innovation and imagination to the forefront. Class 3 students built self-watering plant models using reused bottles, which were proudly displayed in the "Green Corner".

Class 4 imagined themselves twenty years into the future as scientists, activists, farmers or innovators helping Earth, while Class 5 wrote heartfelt letters from Earth’s point of view, expressing its worries and hopes to humans. These activities encouraged empathy and creativity, making students reflect deeply on their bond with nature.

Middle School students in Classes 6 to 8 showcased their artistic and expressive talents. Class 6 designed posters under the theme "If Earth Could Speak", while Class 7 designed storyboards depicting Earth’s past, present and future. Class 8 held an open mic session titled "If I Were Earth", where students penned short poems, raps and speeches, giving voice to the planet’s feelings. The energy and originality of these performances left a lasting impression on everyone.

Senior students (9-12) took the lead in awareness and advocacy. Class 9 saw a documentary on environmental issues and launched a "Plastic Free Zone" initiative as a small but powerful beginning. Class 10 crafted bottle-cap mosaics and mixed-media posters on climate change, turning waste into art.

Class 11 designed a pledge wall with climate promises, while Class 12 recorded short clips under the theme "I care about Earth because…". They also visited the junior classes to explain how daily habits, waste management and mindful choices shape the planet’s future. Their guidance bridged generations and reinforced the idea that sustainability is everyone’s responsibility.

The day concluded with displays of creative work across the School and collective pledges that echoed Earth Day's message. The celebration was not just an event but a reminder that every student, from the youngest to the oldest, has a role to play in protecting the planet. The activities combined fun, creativity and awareness, leaving the school community inspired to take small but meaningful steps towards a greener tomorrow.
