“ Shine like sparkles, glow like candles and burn all negativity like crackles.”

It is time to dispel the darkness of ignorance within and replace it with new light of hope and knowledge. The Festival of Lights came to life with a special assembly by Pre-primary on 28th October 2022.

The assembly commenced with a brief description of the festival by the young students, by turn. Our little Indianites enlightened the audience with their strong message in the form of slogans – ‘Let us all make a promise that this Diwali, we will say no to crackers’, ‘Don’t be mean, Go green and celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali’, ‘Let’s help our parents in cleaning the house’ and ‘Let us fill our homes with prayers and lights’.

The students presented a mesmerising skit to spread awareness about the harmful effects of fireworks and motivated the listeners to ensure a safe and eco-friendly Diwali.

An endearing recitation of short poems on Diwali by the tiny tots left the audience in awe.

The class choir sang some traditional Diwali songs-’ Jag mag jag mag deep jale hain’ and ‘ Bing bang boom’. The audience applauded the foot-tapping group dance by the deft young dancers.

The assembly was a fine composition of dance, drama and music, aesthetically showcasing Indian traditions and values.

The programme was enjoyed by one and all.
