On 15 October 2019, four students namely Debarpan Koley and Parijat Goel of class 10, Damak Saxena of class 9 and Manan of class 8 of The Indian School, participated in The National Safety Science Campaign Quiz hosted by Army Public School, Dhaula Kaun. There were more than 60 schools of Delhi-NCR that participated in the event.

The chief guest at the competition was Mr Suresh Sugavana, Director of Underwriters’ Laboratories in India. He shared various points on the subject of Science and Safety that aroused our interest.

The idea underlying the competition was to find young innovators among school students who can conceptualise and design new devices to ensure better safety of the common man in India. Qizmaster,

Siddartha, asked tough and tricky questions which forced the students to storm the archives of our brains to find answers! The students got an opportunity to learn about the various safety measures undertaken by different countries including India and gain more knowledge about disasters like the Great Fire of London.
