Classes 4 and 5 attend a talk on personal hygiene
On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, a Handwashing Awareness Workshop was organised for the students of classes IV and V on 15th October, 2025. The objective of the session was to sensitise students to the significance of maintaining appropriate hand hygiene for good health and disease prevention.
The workshop commenced with an informative video on germs, demonstrating how they spread and affect health when hand hygiene is neglected. The students were guided through the correct handwashing technique and appropriate times of the day for washing hands. They also took a Handwashing Pledge, affirming their commitment to personal cleanliness and promoting hygiene among peers.
To make the session interactive, a quiz on handwashing practices was conducted, eliciting enthusiastic participation from the students and reflecting their understanding of the topic. Each participant received a Savlon soap bar and liquid handwash as a token of encouragement to continue practicing healthy habits at home. The workshop proved to be informative and engaging, effectively reinforcing the message that “Clean Hands are Healthy Hands.”
