Pre school and Pre primary engages online with peers at a South Korean school

Halloween took on a special global charm this year as our Pre school and Pre Primary learners celebrated the festival through a joyful Cultural Exchange Programme with Mado Elementary School in South Korea. The event beautifully combined festive fun with inter cultural learning in an engaging virtual session.

The excitement was infectious as the children arrived in vibrant costumes — from cheerful pumpkins, playful witches, and friendly bats to mummies, ghosts, and black cats — ready for a day of laughter and spooky delight. Before the session began, a curious question about speaking Korean sparked smiles, and the children’s confidence soared upon learning that English would be the common language.

The exchange began with cheerful greetings of “Happy Morning!” from our students and a warm “Hello” from their Korean friends, both sides proudly waving their national flags. The children introduced themselves, describing their Halloween characters with rhymes and actions, while the Korean students shared a colourful presentation on Chuseok, Korea’s Thanksgiving festival.

The session concluded with heartfelt farewells — “Annyeong” and “Namaste” echoing across the screen. Head Teacher Ms. Vandana Tiwari praised the students for their enthusiasm and confidence, as the event beautifully celebrated global friendship, cultural appreciation, and joyful learning.
