The Library

Come let us read….
Books are keys to wisdom’s treasure,
Books are gates to lands of pleasure.

The School has a well-equipped air-conditioned and computerized library, with over 22,000 volumes which include books, videos, DVDs, CDs, and subscriptions to 47 periodicals which are added to continually. The library also provides students and teachers with a range of reference books, encyclopedias, journals, newspapers and internet facilities to enrich their classroom activities and knowledge. Pre-primary to class III also have their own class libraries.

The Learning Centre, with its enlarged library and separate Reading Rooms, has a Resource Room with an 80-seater audio-visual center and a full-sized projection screen.

Well-known writers are invited regularly to read from their works.

All new books are arranged on a display table in the library for a month and reviews are put up on the Notice Board. Our specially trained librarian organizes the Library Week with book readings, designing book jackets and bookmarks and writing book reviews.

The Library now also has a Coin Library, and a Stamp Library which traces the history of India through coins and stamps.

To encourage reading, a special podium has been provided for children to read aloud passages from their favorite books.

To encourage reading for pleasure, DEAR or 'Drop Everything And Read' programme is followed weekly, in all classes from III to XII.

E-INDIANITE, the School magazine is published by our young journalists covering all major happenings, programmes, events, etc at School.
