The Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE-MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), implemented by DST in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body under DST, aims to inspire students aged 10-15 years studying in classes 6 to 10. As part of the programme, District Level Exhibition and Project Competitions (DLEPC) are organised by district/state authorities, where the top 10,000 ideas/innovations are shortlisted for the State Level Exhibition and Project Competitions (SLEPC). We are proud to announce that our Vansh Sharma of Class 10 A, has been selected for his innovative idea with a cash award of INR 10,000. His project 'Reti- Spect' is a revolutionary portable device that inspects the retina for potential eye disorders by running it through a neural network trained with over 6000+ images.
