CBSE Reading APP for classes Nursery to VIII
Dear Parents,
The National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 highlights the importance of reading and recommends making available quality literature to children to build a reading culture across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) launched the CBSE Reading Mission (Circular No. Acad-82/2021) to achieve this goal.
Under the CBSE Reading Mission has been launched the CBSE Budding Authors Programme to provide students a platform to engage in reading different types of stories and learning to write effectively, and has launched the CBSE Reading App powered by Freadom (Circular No. Acad- 27/2023). This app is designed to make reading an engaging and rewarding experience for students of all ages.

The CBSE Reading Mission aligns with the NEP goals of developing higher order skills- creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, visualisation and idea generation, by providing a well-designed, levelised and adaptive, one-stop platform.
During the summer vacations, the CBSE Reading App can be leveraged to engage children in a variety of activities and enhance their key language competencies.
