Clarification in regard to media reports

Dear Parents,

You will have seen certain media reports today about recommendations made in the Delhi assembly regarding our School. We would like to clarify as follows:-

School has been at the receiving end of action from the Committee on Petitions for the past one year. We have already challenged the actions of Committee on Petitions as the action are without jurisdiction and subject matter of challenge before the Hon'ble High Court in WP(C) 13480 of 2018.

In the said writ petition, the Division Bench of the High Court of Delhi has passed a detailed order dated 19.12.2018, which records in great detail what transpired during the visit of the Committee on Petitions to our School on 10.12.018. As per the said order, the Committee on Petitions was to follow certain rules and procedures which have been violated. The School till date has not been informed of any report or adverse observations of the committee. The committee has not given the School the opportunity to represent itself in the manner provided by the order dated 19.12.2018.

In this regard, the letter of the School dated 27.11.19, with respect to the meeting notice of the Committee on Petitions received on 26.11.2019, for a meeting to be conducted on 28.11.2019, is very relevant and deserves to be read in entirety.

The School is being harassed for the past one year and various departments like the Directorate of Education, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi Fire Service are being prodded and pressurised to take action against the School, all of which are subject matter of numerous litigations,viz WP(c) 8077 of 2018; WP(C) 13480 of 2018 and WP(C) 9654 of 2019, pending before Hon'ble High Court of Delhi and Appeal Nos. 51 of 2019, 322 of 2019 and 323 of 2019 pending before the Appellate Tribunal of the MCD. In the Appeal, Ld. Appellate Tribunal has granted a stay order dated 22.01.2019.
