GLOBAL SCHOOL PLAY DAY
"Play Their Way"
February 1st, 2017
School is celebrating
Global School Play Day for an hour on 1st February, 2017. More than 1,77,488 students are participating globally. Global School Play Day aims to revisit, as it were, the value of play in the lives of our children. In this spirit, we are also encouraging our students to dedicate an hour to unstructured play. The activities planned are:
Nursery, K.G: Students must bring a toy each to School.
These toys should not use batteries or electric current. No devices. Please think of novel toy ideas, since today's kids rarely play or own few toys: soft toys, board games, dolls, Lego, blocks, trucks, cars, racetracks, playing cards, empty cardboard
boxes, markers, jigsaw puzzles, blankets (for forts), social games (charades, Pictionary, etc.)
The only exception on the electronics' rule is a board game that has an electronic timer, an electronics play kit, or similar.
Classes I, II, III: PEC activity at School
Classes IV and V: Workshop on the importanceof play
Classes VI to X: Field games
