Higher Education Career Guidance System

Ideally, after finishing school, both students and parents should jump in joy and breathe a sigh of relief. However, the joy often gets suffocated by the anxiety and apprehension of an uncertain academic future. Students and parents find themselves fretting over an endless array of career options, best institutes and popular courses, even before the child enters high school.

Higher Education Guidance by our School

At our School, we not only aim at preparing students academically but also at guiding them towards a rewarding and satisfying career. We understand how imperative it is for students to identify their aptitudes, interests, career goals and aspirations in order to make well-informed decisions regarding their higher education. To help students in this task, our School has organised that student counselor, Ms. Sukhmeen Kaur ( part of the school faculty) guides and counsels students for higher studies.

Additionally, we have partnered with Univariety a Singapore based organisation that mentors students to ensure that they have multiple higher- study options (both domestic and international) to choose from. Univariety provides a support system to the school counselor to manage all the senior students in a systematic manner. Our students and their parents will have the option of interacting with the team of experts at Univariety through an online system linked to our schools website.

Students shall be counseled on: a. Career options b. Finalizing on course and country where the student wants to and can study c. International colleges study options (USA, UK, Canada, Singapore and other popular destinations) d. Guidance on preparation of the tests e. Timelines & deadlines f. Finalization of Colleges to apply to and creation of backup options g. How to choose between final options - Admission h. Scholarships & funding options

With Univarietys help, we launched the higher education support system in the academic year 2013-14. Sessions were organised wherein the students were guided on how to use the online support system, create a profile, ask queries and interact with the school counselor along with the Univariety team. Each year, the school will guide every new batch of students on how to effectively take help and utilise the offering.
