Lets donate our used books and notebooks for use by those less privileged
Dear Parents,
The academic session of your child is about to end very soon. I am sure that blank pages would be left in your child’s notebooks, which are either sold to the raddi wala or disposed off.
The Indian School, Delhi in collaboration with Inchpaper and EDNEW Foundation is running a drive “Har Haath Kitaab” - A Book In Every Child’s Hand.
In this drive, we request parents to donate the following:
a) Used and/or unused notebooks
b) Used textbooks
c) Story books
d) Workbooks
e) Newspapers
f) Textbooks will be donated to NGOs as teaching-learning material for both teachers and students.
g) Storybooks will be used to create reading clubs or libraries at NGOs to develop reading skills in these children.
h) Workbooks can be used as worksheets for children to practice.
i) Unused pages of notebooks will be bound afresh to create notebooks for less privileged children.
j) Newspaper will be used to create sanitary pads and disposable bags.
We aim to reduce the wastage of paper and reuse it for a better cause.
You can deposit the used notebooks, textbooks, storybooks and newspapers at School on or before your child's PTM as per the PTM schedule below.
14th March: Classes 9th & 11th
16th March: Pre Primary classes

Looking forward to your cooperation and support in this noteworthy cause.
