PROJECT MATE (Mind Activation Through Education)

A CBSE–AIIMS Collaborative Programme on Social-Emotional Learning, Mental Health & Life Skills

For the Students of Classes VI–VIII

Dear Parents,

As part of our continued commitment towards nurturing the holistic development and emotional well-being of our students, the school is introducing Project MATE (Mind Activation Through Education) for students of Classes VI–VIII.

Project MATE is an initiative developed by AIIMS, New Delhi, in collaboration with CBSE, aimed at strengthening social-emotional learning, mental health awareness, emotional resilience and essential life skills among adolescents. The programme recognises that the middle school years are an important phase of growth, marked by significant emotional, social and developmental changes.

Through structured sessions and age-appropriate activities, the programme seeks to support students in developing:

  • Greater self-awareness and a better understanding of emotions

  • Healthy coping strategies to manage stress and everyday challenges

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Empathy, respect and positive peer relationships

  • Confidence, decision-making and problem-solving abilities

  • An understanding of the importance of mental and emotional well-being

The sessions will be conducted in a safe, supportive and age-appropriate environment, encouraging students to reflect, express themselves and develop skills that contribute meaningfully to their overall growth and well-being.

In addition to the student-focused sessions, Project MATE will also include parent engagement sessions at a later stage, aimed at building greater awareness and understanding around adolescent development, emotional needs and ways in which parents can continue to support their children during these formative years.

The School believes that social-emotional learning and mental health education are essential components of a child’s overall development. Creating appropriate spaces for conversations around emotions, relationships, coping and well-being can help students navigate their formative years with greater confidence, self-awareness and resilience.

Parents who are interested in having their ward participate in this initiative are requested to kindly review the consent form provided and indicate their approval accordingly. The duly filled HARD COPIES of the consent forms are to be submitted to the respective Class Teachers by Monday 10th August 2026.

We look forward to working collaboratively with parents in fostering a nurturing, supportive and emotionally healthy environment for our students.
