Security Update
Dear Parent,
We are security-sanitised as per our regular protocol everyday. Floor patrols by a lady guard and lady staff, CCTV camera surveillance criss crossing every part of the School, no visitors permitted without prior appointment and identification, evacuation drills, etc., are routine measures at our School. Infact the evacuation of the children on the day of the threat was quick and very smooth. Unfortunately the media created panic leading to crowds at our gates and great difficulty in dispersing the children carefully, by us.
Shortly we are also installing metal detectors at our three gates. Letters have been despatched to the Commissioner of Delhi Police, the Cyber Crime Department and the Lieutenant Governor, requesting their intervention/ redressal. An appeal signed by over 900 parents and staff of our school is being sent to the authorities.
The problem lies in the fact that the police needs to identify and punish the sender of these mischief hoax mails without delay. We are shortly arranging a meeting with the DCP South, for parents and teachers to press their demand for a quick resolution. Kindly lend us your support with your presence.
If there is any other clarification, we are happy to respond. We are also studying the suggestions made by you, dear parents and will incorporate whatever is feasible.
Here I cannot help highlighting how maturely our students conducted themselves on the day the threat was received. They did as instructed, quickly and calmly, leading to a rapid and safe evacuation of the School building. The poise that our children displayed in a challenging situation is truly noteworthy- a value that we teachers aspire for, in every child that passes through our hands.
