Urgent appeal for Floods and Landslides

Dear Friends,

You must be aware of the ongoing disasters in various states. Floods and landslides have caused widespread devastation and distress for millions of people. Assam is currently going through the second wave of floods, this time in the districts of Dhemaji, Jorhat and Lakhimpur. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir are experiencing a series of flash floods, landslides and incessant downpours. With heavy monsoons this year, Goonj is already in these, and other areas where floods have become an annual phenomenon.

We are responding to the situation. Let us stand with our fellow citizens. Do treat our appeal as urgent and join the campaign for raising material and monetary resources.

Ways to contribute:

. Material Collection Drives are an easy way for people to give back. You can focus on any specific material and raise material in bulk or organise collections for urgently needed material. . Bulk contributions from manufacturers, wholesalers, and retail chains consisting of large quantities of woollens and sarees are required. These are carefully curated into Kits to fulfil the urgent needs in far-off areas. Try to raise material in bulk and send it to our nearest offices -goonj.org/our-offices/
