Date: June 4, 2023

Attention: Students of Class 3-8

Subject: World Environment Day Activities - "Solutions to Beat the Plastic Pollution"

Dear students,

We hope this notice finds you in good spirits. As you are aware, World Environment Day is approaching on June 5th, 2023. To mark the occasion, The Indian School encourages all students from classes 3 to 8 to actively participate in activities that aim to spread awareness of responsible behaviour for safeguarding the environment. The special theme for this year prescribed by the DOE is "Solutions to Beat Plastic Pollution."

We believe that through your creative expressions, we can raise awareness and contribute to finding solutions to combat the grave issue of plastic pollution. You are encouraged to choose any one of the following activities:

1. Drawing: Drawing a meaningful picture depicting the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the steps we can take to solve the problem.

2. Poster Making: Design an eye-catching poster illustrating the importance of reducing plastic usage and promoting responsible practices to protect the environment.

3. Slogan Writing: Compose impactful slogans or catchphrases that can raise awareness about the consequences of plastic pollution and the need for sustainable alternatives.

4. Collage Making: Collect and arrange pictures, newspaper clippings and other materials to make a collage that highlights the damaging effects of plastic pollution and showcases effective solutions.

5. Poem Composition: Write a heartfelt poem that inspires others to take action against plastic pollution and emphasises the significance of responsible behaviour towards the environment.

The activity you choose should be done wearing your school uniform and photographed. The photo maybe mailed to your class PTA representative positively by the evening of June 5th.

Let us join hands in making a positive impact on the environment by showcasing our creative talents and spreading awareness about the urgent need to combat plastic pollution. Together, we can be the change!

If you have any questions or require further clarification, please feel free to reach out to your class teacher or the school by email.

Wishing you all the best in your creative endeavours!
