23rd Annual Computer Symposium, Access 2011

Modern School, Barakhamba Road organised it's 23rd Annual Computer Symposium Access 2011 on 23 and 24 December. 'Access' is the biggest, oldest and most popular symposium of it's category in Delhi. Over 1,000 students from 77 schools ( including Blue Bells International, Cambridge School, Ghaziabad, all branches of DPS, Indraparastha International School, Dwarka, Gyan Bharati School, APJ Sheikh Sarai and both branches of Modern School participated.

During the 2 days, our students participated in several events, categorized into groups. Firstly, Cadets which comprised the students of classes V and below, next were Sub-Juniors which comprised classes 6 to 8, then Juniors comprising classes 9 and 10, and lastly Seniors comprising classes 11 and 12. There was also an Open event, wherein students from any class could participate. The various events were software display, group discussion, gaming zone, story writing, quiz, programming, video and audio editing, webpage designing, power point presentation and fancy dress. The theme of this year was IPL and Disney. Taran Singh Bedi and Anmol Arora, both of class 11 took the the First prize for Audio Editing where they got to mix the current hit song of the year Kolaveri D.
