On 25 September, 2013, Ms. Vandana Tewari and Ms. Sonia Mojumdar, teachers, attended the 6th Global Conference on Education conducted by Edu Solutions at The IndiaInternational Centre
The key-speakers at the meet were Prof. Dr. Aruna Broota, clinical psychologist; Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, psychiatrist and Ms. Jyotsna Bharadwaj, educator. Keeping in mind that Education is preparation for life, the day- long conference focussed on bringing together two significant elements in a childs life
- Happiness and - Higher Learning Methods.
The gathering was also addressed by the heads of universities and career-counselling institutes, namely, Mr. Jitin Chawla, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Mr. Terence Tan and others.
Recognising teachers to be a countrys Human Resource Developers, the panel discussed in detail the importance of schools in building up the foundation of a strong nation. Several associated areas were also touched upon, for example
- Leadership quality as an art. - Need to recognize talent in career choice. - Education industry /s Entertainment industry.
Attending the conference was an enriching experience as it drew our attention to several issues related to child development and the external factors affecting the performance of the child, besides ways to tackle these effectively.
