The assembly began with a group rendition of the Guru Vandana, in dance by a few students of classes IV and V. This was followed by a presentation in which the students spoke talked of the different ways in which the environment is being degraded by us human beings. With handmade posters they explained the several simple habits that need to be adopted by each of us to halt further degradation. The children emphasised the 3 Rs, namely,Reduce, Reuse and Recyclefor a cleaner environment.
Finally the junior choir recited a Hindi poem which is a call to save our forests for a better future.
The assembly was well presented and enjoyed by the audience. What better evidence than the rapt attention and silence of our little audience as they absorbed what they heard and saw!
