AD ACT inter-house competition, classes 11 and 12 ( Commerce)

On 23 July, 2013 the Commerce department of our School organised an inter- house 'Ad- Act Competition'. The competition was organised by the commerce students of classes XI and XII .

Before the competition began, Anish Bhat of class XI B presented a power- point presentation on steps involved in preparing advertisements. He also also highlighted how important advertisements are for industry and society.

Chandra House was the first to perform with the following participants - Karan Kalra, Adil Khan, Lizza Sadh, Natasha Syal and Kriti Dang. Their product was 'TARAK MEHTA SPECTACLES'! The house presented it's product with the promise of powers to " bestow wisdom and sound decision- making skills"!

The second house to perform was Indra House which had Ojasvi Jain, Ishan Mehandru, Tushita Jolly, Naman Suri and Ujjwal Jindal in it's team. It's product was 'BARACK OBAMA'S MEDICINE FOR PEACE' .

The next house was Surya with Renisha Singh, Garvit Kala, Pranati Haldia and Padamchitt Saxena. It's ad was for 'TOM AND JERRY DETECTIVE AGENCY'!

The last but not the least house to perform was Varun House with Ankur Bajaj, Palak Aneja, Mrinal Aggarwal, Sidhant Gupta and Meghlayana Banerje. It's product was 'MARY KOM ENERGY DRINK'! The students claimed in great earnest that the product had great utility for every damsel in distress from domestic violence!

All the participants did a great job. They all added inputs of humour in their acts besides selecting innovative angles and themes.

The result was as follows. The house in third position was Surya with 33 points , the runner up was Chandra with 40 points and the winner was Varun with 41 points! There was also a Best Actor award which was taken by Karan Kalra of XI B.
