On 31st July 2015, the second AEON Inter-School Computer Symposium was proudly hosted by The Indian School to motivate our young technocrats to invent, innovate and create new technologies that not only make our lives easier but also make this world a better place to live in. AEON was initiated and brought together by T.I.M.E The Indianites Media Experts, the computer club of our School. It is the brainchild of Ansh Kumar, Sahil Sarna and Manik Narula of the 2013 batch. This year, these alumni along with the active participation of classes 11 and 12 students, carried AEON to its next level. The guest for the event, Dr. Gautam Shroff, Chief Scientist and Vice President at Tata Consultancy Services, along with our judge, Ms. Nikita Jain, teaching fellow at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, and our alumni inaugurated the event with a lamp-lighting ceremony, as the School choir presented a soulful rendition of a sufi song followed by an instrumental medley of patriotic songs in a heartwarming performance by the School orchestra. Dr. Shroff lauded the effort to provide a diverse opportunity through AEON, to young future technocrats. He touched upon the evolution of IT, with examples from his own experiences. He reminisced about his meeting with Late Dr. APJ Kalam in honour of whom, a minutes silence was also observed.
