Class IV participated in an interesting and fun- filled and informative quiz that on Friday 27 September, 2013. Students of the 4 houses had earlier elected their representatives for the event.
The contestants were to be quizzed on topical areas of science, namely, the Environment, Food and Green plants.
The quiz consisted of five rounds. In the first round, the contestants had to choose the correct option from the options offered. The second round was a question- answer one.The third was a buzzer-round and the fourth round was a picture-round where pictures were displayed on a screen and the students had to apply their analytic skills for the right answers. A fifth round was the spell-me- right round where contestants had to spell the given words accurately.
Each team got a maximum of 30 seconds in which to answer each question, failing which the question was passed to the next team for bonus points. In case none of the teams was able to answer correctly, the question was thrown to the audience. The audience too got a chance to participate with a quick round of questions! [gallery columns="2"] It was heart- warming to see the children brimming with enthusiasm and exuberance as they vied with each other to answer questions that especially those that required explanation and reasoning. The cheers from the audience added to the electric atmosphere.
The quiz ended with the declaration of the results. Surya House stood first closely followed by Chandra House, in the second position. Indra House and Varun House stood third and fourth respectively.
