Rolling Trophy for us at Anveshan, an inter-school Science and Technology Competition.
Anveshan 2015 was held at Gyan Bharti School, Saket on 18th April 2015. It showcased technological skills among the young participants from 20 renowned schools.
Our School participated in the festival with zeal and enthusiasm. The event was presided over by Dr. Sharad Wakode , Scientist and Associate Professor at the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research.
The programme commenced with a Bharatnatyam recital followed by the unveiling of a new project The Think Tank initiated by the host school. The project aims at providing a platform to students to showcase their technical abilities continually.
The event had many competitions at different levels. The participants from classes VI to XII competed in 5 events namely, Cartoon-Making on Computers, Test your Science Quotient, Web Designing, Treasure Hunt, and a Science quiz.

Srinjoy Mukherjee of class VII and Gauri Awasthi of class VIII participated in the category, 'Test your Science Quotient' where the contestants had to answer questions based on science concepts and experiments. Samarth Saxena of class IX participated in the category, Web Designing. In this participants had to design a website on the topic given at the spot.
Nayal Kakaria of class VI had us very proud by winning the second position in the category, Cartoon-making on Computers In this, the participants had to create their favourite cartoons using MS Paint Brush. Naval portrayed his creativity by painting a robot!
At the science quiz, Pulkit Goyal and Arshdeep Singh Chugh of classes XI and XII took second position in the finals. There were 2 rounds. First was the written MCQ exam where 6 schools including our School qualified. In the second stage, there were 4 rounds. Questions based on the scientific concepts of the levels of classes 11 and 12 were posed alongwith audio and video clips. The last round was a rapid-fire one in which each team had to answer 10 questions within a time limit.
In the Treasure Hunt round, teams had to answer interesting questions to reach the next clue. Manav Arora and Hammad Ahmed of class X outshone the rest to take the first prize in this category!
The Rolling Trophy was lifted by the students of our School for overall performance in the event.
