The technology club of Amity International School, Saket hosted an inter- school technology symposium, Aplhabit on 15 November, 2013. The event was organized to test the aptitude of students in the multifarious disciplines of technology.
10 Schools from across Delhi participated in the event; namely, DPS R.K Puram, Amity International, Pushp Vihar, Amity International Noida, Amity International Mayur Vihar, Amity International Vasundhra, Amity International Gurgaon, Apeejay School Sheikh Sarai, Birla Vidya Niketan, besides the hosts and us.
The event was divided into 3 categories.
Science and Tech Quiz :- our participants were Pulkit Goyal(IX) and Prakhar Gupta(IX). Questions were based on the history and current affairs of IT and Science .
Programming :- Vikramaditya Bhatnagar(XI), Pavas Navani(XII). Students were given a list of tasks which they were to make the protagonist of their programs do via sets of commands.
Digital Art :- Pratham Gulati(VIII), Ritwika Dasgupta(VIII). Students were given sample pictures of four different art styles in a folder. They had to manipulate these images and create a work of art that represents the Cubist style using Abode Photoshop software.
Pratham Gulati and Ritwika Dasgupta were awarded the second position for Digital Art.
All participants were awarded certificates of participation.
