Art Poetica
Our School participated in Art Poetica - Dr. Prem Kirpal Inter-school Art and Poetry Competition on 16th November 2016 at Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram.
Students of classes 6-12 from 25 schools participated in the various events.
Blend Art (classes IX-XII)
This competition required the blending of two events. It entailed the recitation and dramatisation of a poem, along with a painting or sketch that had to be created simultaneously.
Artistic Poesy (classes IX-XII)
In this on-the-spot competition, a series of pictures were given to the students, who then had to compose a ballad, connecting the pictures in any order.
Lyrical Canvas (classes IX-XII)
This was also an on-the-spot competition where a line from a well-known poem was given to each participant through a draw of lots. Students then had to create a visual image capturing the dominant emotions of the given line with the help of only one colour that symbolised the emotion most.
Double Harness (classes IX-XII)
This competition had two rounds where couplets were to be composed and recited on the basis of:
A suggested word
A particular emotion
