Aunts Day at Pre school
Only an Aunt can give hug like a mother,
Keep secrets like a sister,
And share love like a friend.
The objective of this occasion was the need to sensitise our children with the importance of family ties in their lives and give them an opportunity to articulate their appreciation of such ties.
The little hosts warmly welcomed their aunts on Saturday, 19th July 2014, at 'Aunts Day which was held in the School hall. The children looked smart, in their hand-printed white activity T-shirts with their white skirt/shorts and white shoes.

Ms. Pooja Midha welcomed the aunts and our Principal Ms Tania Joshi thanked them for sparing their valuable time for this occasion of sharing.
We started with the enthusiastic aunts joining in a game of passing the parcel. The music played by Mr. Lalit Pancham pulsated as the parcel was rapidly passed around by the aunts ( all sections). When the music suddenly stopped, the one left holding the parcel had to pull out a slip and perform an actas per the instruction! There were two rounds of the game and the tiny tots standing around cheered loudly for the sporty aunts. Freshly potted plants from the School nursery were handed to our winners.
After rounds of fun and frolic, it was time for refreshments where our children took pride in offering their aunts a bite. They went around with their ayah- didis who held the trays while they politely pressed each guest to try.
It was an occasion of the nurturing of a special bond. It was vested with value- learning where the Sanskaras were summoned to nestle the nurturing. The importance of family ties, reciprocity, humility, hospitality got silently cemented at this joyous celebration.
Everyone returned in reverie.
