Award and Pledge ceremony of Delhi A heritage city awareness campaign with chief minister, Ms. Sheila Dixit
To acknowledge the extraordinary legacy of long which Delhi has encapsulated, INTACH, is assisting the government of Delhi in including it's place in the coveted club of heritage cities. As a part of this process, an awareness campaign was launched in 35 schools across Delhi with a series of exciting competitions. The campaign was ushered in great fervour at our School on 28 April, 2012 with an INTACH volunteer showing us a presentation on the procedure and the significance of nominating Delhi as a world heritage city. Principal ma'am, together with head girl, Amrita Arora and head boy, Anmol Arora signed a pledge on behalf of our School to honour and protect Delhis heritage.
The campaign concluded on 13 February, 2013 at the Delhi Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Ms. Sheila Dikshit. Anubha Saggar of 11B took a pledge to honour the tangible and intangible heritage of Delhi alongwith her counterparts from other schools of Delhi. This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony and our dear Indianites shone in almost all the categories of the competition! Besides, their creative expression has been included in the publications of INTACH.
