Basant Panchami by Pre-primary
The Pre- Primary department celebrated Basant Panchami with a special assembly by PS Capella on 4 February 2014. The children arrived dressed in radiant shades of yellow, which is both the colour of Spring and that associated with Saraswati, the goddess of learning who is worshipped on the occasion.
Little Aditya Gupta led the train of speakers with his poised rendition of a few lines on the festival. Hargun Kaur followed with her information about Saraswati Puja and the worship of books. Oishee Haldar spoke out about significance of flying kites on the occasion and Shaurya Fulfagar on the association of yellow with the day.

The children then lined up to sing and soon, ' I am a yellow sunflower' and Aaya Basant Bahaar hansaata Gaata' vigorously rung out to make the mood! Nutrimeal lunch served on the occasion was a delicious savoury yellow rice which the children relished.
Finally each section then returned to their claasrooms to create a craft to carry home as a momento.
