Business Melange 2015

Six students from classes XI and XII got an opportunity to represent School at the International Business Melange organised by Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on 27th and 28th August, 2015. This prestigious event saw the participation of 72 schools from within as well as outside India.

The chief guests for the event were Dr. P.C. Jain, former principal Shri Ram College of Commerce and Swami Chidanand, President and spiritual head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. A team comprising of two students, Rohan Gupta and Hardik Arora, class XII participated in the Market Monopoly Game . It was an assessment of the mental ability of the students with questions based on logical reasoning, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. In the stock stimulation game, each team was assigned a virtual sum of money and teams bought and sold shares of different companies based upon market news.The prices fluctuated in the subsequent round and it was to be seem which team collected the highest money at the end! The next day, Naman Sehgal and Jaskeerat Oberoi participated in the Business Quiz. Meanwhile Simran Khurana and Gaurav Gupta of class XI participated in the idea-designing round. The business quiz tested business awareness with questions based on brand logos, taglines, CEOs and other related topics. In the Idea-Designing round, students had to present a newly innovated product.They were required to discuss its objective, need, marketing stratedy and SWOT analysis. Students also participated in an online round which included Cartoon strip-making, Limerick writing and E-Banner designing. Rohan Gupta, class XII B.
