Caritas 2020 - virtual inter-school multi competition tournament

DPS International, Saket hosted Caritas 2020, an inter-school multi-competition tournament on Tuesday, 29 December, 2020 with a plethora of exciting online and offline events. Over 150 students participated in this virtual inter-school fest.

Online Events:

1) Group Discussion- a uniquely planned event that took place on the virtual platform, Discord. and comprised a conventional debate. Paakhi Rajpal of class XI participated here and spoke on the topic We are willing to sacrifice our privacy for quality.

2) Quiz- Piyush Rangra and Aarushi Menon of Class XI participated in two rounds of intense quiz on a diverse set of topics from major advancements in the fields of science to latest social media happenings.

3) Gaming - The individual knockout style tournament engaged those with the best reflexes and hand-eye coordination, to test their skills against each other for exciting rewards. Omar of class X was our gamer in this event where participants competed with each other on browser games.

Offline Events:

1) Art Making- Students were given a choice to submit a painting on any topic from three choices given. The topics were -Days of Future Past, The Masked Soldiers of the Covid Era and Brave New World. Our Asmi Midha of class XI presented her work on The Masked Soldiers of the Covid Era.

Our entry was shortlisted amongst the best 15 works selected and was displayed on the host school website for public voting. It was a happy moment when Asmi Midha secured the First Runner Up position.

2) Comic Making- Students were given an opportunity to design a comic strip of up to ten panels on topics relating to the pandemic. They were permitted to use media like digital art, ink etc. Aditya Kunvar of class XI took part in the event.

3) Graphic Design- The event was a perfect blend of typography, imagery and most importantly creativity. Pranya Sadh of class IX participated in this event where participants were to design a poster using an image editing software on the given topics.

The event gave our students a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talent and hone their skills.
