CBSE REGIONAL LEVEL EXHIBITION

Our School selected for the nationals at the CBSE REGIONAL LEVEL EXHIBITION, 15-17 July.

The Central Board of Secondary Education organized the REGIONAL LEVEL SCIENCE EXHIBITION from 15th -17th July, 2014. The venue of the exhibition was Bal Bharti School, Dwarka and the theme this year was Science and Society. The sub themes were Industry, Health, Energy, Agriculture and Environment and 93 schools rrom all over Delhi participated. The objective of this initiative is to encourage and inculcate a scientific temper amongst students.

4 students of our School from classes X and XI participated in the sub- themes Agriculture and Energy. Faraz Ali and Ayush Arneja of class XC displayed their model, a Multipurpose Solar Inverter under the sub-theme Energy. The principle of this exhibit was to generate electricity using solar cells and utilize it to run an inverter. Their effort was applauded and gave them the 4th position in this exhibition. Our School was also among 20 schools selected to participate at the National Level of the exhibition. Congrats! Bhavya Arora, (X A) and Deepika Nagpal, (XI B) displayed their model under the sub-theme Agriculture and the title of their exhibit was Biochar- a gold dust. The principle of this exhibit was to use biomass to produce rich nutrients for plants using methods like gasification and pyrolysis in order to avoid the emission of green house gases that spread pollution and cause global warming.
