A workshop on "The Theory of Knowledge" was a part of a pilot programme launched by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). On September 26, 2023, Ms Priyanka Saini attended the workshop at CBSEs office in Patparganj.
The main objective of the workshop was to ascertain how best to train teachers about education philosophy. The programme's speakers included Prof Rishi Pal of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University and Dr Vikas Beniwal of CIE, Delhi University. This workshop was unique because it placed equal emphasis on Indianised knowledge (pramanas) and western concepts of knowledge.
After around seven hours of robust brainstorming, the workshop came to the successful conclusion that, with the teachers' suggested modifications, this project can be a workable model. It was a very well-planned and interesting workshop. Even though there is a lot to deliver, the concepts and debates were debated comprehensively extremely and the time was well spent.
