Celebration of Fathers Day, Pre-primary.

The greatest gift I ever had Came from God I call him dad...

As 6 July, 2013 unfolded into a beautiful morning, our Pre-school stars along with their teachers and their fathers, celebrated Father's Day. The venue for the event was the School auditorium. The children came along with their fathers, dressed smartly in the specially hand-printed T-shirts created for the occasion, with medals adorned with their fathers' pictures. All the fathers were welcomed in song, songs which the children had learnt for this special day.

Head Teacher, Mrs. Roy welcomed the dads warmly and explained that our School nurtures the importance of family ties in our children as a part of the Sanskara Syllabus, integral to the ethos of the School. Soon the dads settled down to meet and acquaint with each other. They looked happy and relaxed.

The proceedings continued with a musical game, where fathers had to recognise the rhyme from the tune the played by the music teacher. Brewing excitement could be sighted amongst the crowd and the participation was plentiful! Proud winners were presented a potted plant each.

The cherry on the cake was the Hot seat game where a CD was placed beneath the chair and the person who happened to it on the lucky chair was the winner of the Hot seat Prize.

The children were helped to serve their fathers refreshments on trays before happily settling down to share them! Soon it was time to go home and the children proceeded with their dads, armed with a lollipop in hand.

As told by Ms. Neha Arora.
