Childrens Day in Pre primary

Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow. - Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.

Every child is a unique flower together they make the world an exquisite garden. We have all outgrown childhood and we all desire the utmost well being of our children because it is a very precious phase of life.

Childrens Day celebrations on 14 November not only commemorate the birth anniversary of Chacha Nehru but also the uniqueness of every child. As customary at our School the children are made to feel special on the occasion.

An introduction about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru set off the proceedings. It was explained that Pandit Nehru loved children and hence the best homage to his memory is offered by observing his birth anniversary each year as Childrens Day. As the performance began, the teachers broke into foot tapping dance steps! This was followed by a puppet show on the story, Jumbo, the Elephant. To the great delight of the children, dance teacher Vinay sir also entertained the children with a special dance performance. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were beaming and clapping through the show.

For a finale, peppy music was turned on for the children to dance. Several of the pre primary children volunteered to shake a leg! As a take away, students crafted souvenirs for themselves. They did handprints on drawing sheets handed to them and then pasted their photographs on the sheets.

The show closed with a vote of thanks by Pre-primary Head Teacher, Ms. Ritu Singh.

Ms. Aditi Gupta.
