CII Soccer Festival, 23 24 February 2013 Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.

The Confederation of Indian Industry organised a soccer festival inviting 4 selected school teams and 24 corporate teams. The school teams were to participate in the age group of 5-15 years and our School participated in this 6 (six) a side tournament for the first time which was to encourage the school students to experience the shorter version of the game and enhance great skill, footwork and ball control during the game.

The rules of the game were very different to that of a normal soccer game. The duration of the match was for 20 minutes and was played in two halves of 7.5 minutes each with a break of 5 minutes. The game was a much faster version compared to that of a full time soccer game. 10 students representing our school between the age group of 10-15 years played this tournament. The 4 teams were divided in 2 pairs (Lottery system), Pair A & B. The winning teams from each pair were to qualify for the final, Champions Cup to be played on 24 February, 2013.

All the 10 players who participated were given a jersey upon registration desk much to our delight!
