Citizenship Programme activity- Nukkad Natak on Water Conservation
In collaboration with Women for India (WFI), students of The Indian School put together a Nukkad Natak on Water Conservation with the help of Ms Rukmini Thampi and Ms Neha Sachdeva. Ms Shalini Bhalla of WFI had acquired the necessary permissions for performing the show outside Gate No 6 of Rajiv chowk Metro Station (right outside Palika Bazaar).
Our students, teachers and parents assembled at the meeting point along with a few members of WFI. The area was abuzz with lots of activity wherein many people were singing and presenting nukkad nataks on a variety of topics. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and there was a lot of enthusiasm in the crowd.

Our students started their performance depicting the many common ways in which we tend to waste water and how we should take precautions to save it.
The young actors supported their script with catchy phrases and a few lines from popular bollywood songs ..! The students received a huge round of applause after each performance.
They presented the Natak 3 times over on popular demand with a gap of 15 minutes, before we took pictures with the parents/ students and called it a day well spent and satisfying.
