CItizenship Programme SPOTFIX initiatives during January, 2017.

On 14th January, 2017, Dhruv, Hargun, Anmol and Twisha of classes 8 and 9, with coordinator, Ms. S. Aswani set out to spotfix the pillars under the Moolchand Flyover and the Southex Flyover. Scraps of old posters were scraped off and the walls were washed. This spotfix took just over two hours and during this time, a group of CEOs who happened to be passing stopped and alighted from their cars to appreciate the work being done by the children. They were so enthused that they even lent a shoulder with the task! This undoubtedly and greatly encouraged the children!

On 22nd January, 2017, Dhruv, Anadi, Vanshita and Parul accompanied by Ms. Sandhya Batheja and Ms. Aswani volunteered to participate in a spotfix in partnership with DELHI STREET ART and the SUNDAY RUN CLUB. The vandalised space identified for the spotfix was the Amar Colony wall along Ring Road opposite IBIS HOSPITAL. Scraps of posters were peeled off and the wall was cleaned and then painted in bright hues. Soon a stunning geometric pattern replaced the vandalised wall! It was yet another fulfilling experience to have made a contribution to our very own city.
