“Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom.”
George Washington Carver
On 16 August 2024, the students of class ID took a profound stride towards unlocking this golden door by presenting a poignant assembly on gender equality in the School auditorium. In harmony with the festive spirit of Raksha Bandhan, the students eloquently highlighted the significance of education, self-empowerment, and mutual respect.
The assembly featured impressive portrayals of notable figures such as Jawaharlal Nehru, represented by Ayansh, and Mary Kom, depicted by Shanaya, among others. These trailblazers, celebrated for their groundbreaking achievements and contributions, serve as inspiring examples. Through their portrayals, the students conveyed that with determination and perseverance, anyone can overcome obstacles and achieve greatness, irrespective of gender. This event stood as a powerful testament to the role of education in nurturing unity, hope, and empowerment.
The students’ performance underscored the importance of dismantling gender stereotypes and advocating equal opportunities for all.
Additionally, a moving skit was presented, illustrating the dynamics between a brother and a sister, with their mother imparting lessons on equality and respect. This assembly was not only a celebration of Raksha Bandhan but also a compelling reminder of the continuous journey towards gender equality.
