Class 2 meets Vietnamese peers online
Engaging online offers the world in the classroom as it were. Students can connect with peers in distant parts of the globe to increase their knowledge of cultures and peoples.
The students of class II engaged online with peers at the Maya Village School, Hanoi, Vietnam, on 8 September 2022. The session was enabled by the collaborative efforts of Ms Mansha Gaba and Vietnamese educator, Ms. Hien Nguyen.
The session commenced with the peer groups greeting each other in their native languages.

After the introductions, the two groups engaged in a friendly round of questions to guess the name of the country to which 'the other side' belonged, the weather outside, the language spoken and the location. The game also included innovative riddles to tempt the children to don their thinking caps!
This ice-breaker session saw the two sides relax and communicate in camaraderie.
The students of The Indian School spoke about the diverse activities they engage in at school, namely, skating, yoga, story telling and many more. The students of the Vietnamese school, narrated their life at school and the activities they engage in.
It was an informative session where the students were introduced to a new culture and way of life. In fact both sides seemed eager to interact again soon! Ms Nguyen appreciated the little Indianites for being confident speakers.
