Class 3 spends a day at the School eco park
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better."
- Albert Einstein
Escorting impressionable children of class III on 31 January 2019 to a haven of nature was a humbling experience. The enthusiastic group of 25 children was accompanied by their teacher, Ms Bhanu Batra. On the commute to the eco park, there was much joy and camaraderie. The children sang songs and shared refreshments as the bus ferried them to their destination. The journey itself enthused the young with energy and vitality. The weather was ideal for spending the day outdoors.

Upon arrival, group photos were clicked to capture the memorable moment. Thereafter, the children engaged in free play and a round of volleyball where they learned the merits of teamwork. They played to their hearts content.
After playtime, the young ones walked around the extensively laid out eco-park which houses a collection of simple science models which are a big attraction for children. The budding learners were keen to know the 'how' and 'why' of things. It was an extremely informative session.
Last, but certainly not the least, our young explorers were taken to the farm area. They were delighted to see and touch the various types of vegetation that they read about in their science books - creepers, climbers, stems, roots. The rich and ripe vegetables were ready for picking! The delight was undiluted when the children learnt that they could carry their spoils home! They even got to play with ducks and rabbits.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their day on the farm and being one with nature. The smiles on their faces expressed a lot more than words can describe. To not overstate the matter, the day was picture-perfect!
