Class 3 takes an excursion to Qutub Minar
On February 8, 2024, the students of class 3 engaged in an educational excursion to acquaint with the Qutub Minar. The excursion was designed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for India’s cultural legacy among the young learners.
The excursion began with palpable excitement as the students enthusiastically boarded the bus, accompanied by their teachers. The buses made their way towards the majestic heritage site, nestled in greenery.
Upon reaching our destination, the students were greeted by the breathtaking sight of the towering Minar, serving as a testament to India's glorious past. Guided by the teachers, the students explored the Qutub Complex, gaining valuable insights into the historical significance and architectural wonders of the site.
The tour encompassed various historical landmarks within the Qutub Minar complex, including the Alai Darwaza, Iron Pillar and the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. Students were captivated as they learned about the different dynasties that ruled Delhi and contributed to the construction and expansion of the Qutub Minar complex over centuries. Through the excursion, the teachers engaged the students in interactive discussions, encouraging them to observe the intricate carvings and architectural details of the minar. Moreover, the significance of the Qutub Minar now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site was explained, highlighting its global cultural importance.
The excursion proved to be a profoundly enriching experience for the class 3 students. It not only broadened their understanding of Delhi's history and architecture but also instilled a sense of pride and appreciation for their cultural heritage in them.
