Class 5 celebrates Raksha Bandhan with our brave soldiers

On the 12th August 2024, 4 of our bright class 5 students—Reet Sapra, Kiara Talwar, Gunika Kaher and Myra Wason, had a unique opportunity to visit the Army Headquarters for a special Rakhi celebration. Accompanied by their teacher, Ms Rupinder Kaur, the visit was a significant and heartfelt experience for everyone involved.

As a part of the Raksha Bandhan tradition, our students tied rakhis on the wrists of jawans at the venue, symbolising the bond of protection and respect. The girls also offered sweets to the soldiers, a gesture that was met with warm smiles and deep appreciation. In return, the jawans, like true brothers, presented our students with thoughtful gifts, creating a moment of joy and connection that will be cherished for years to come.

This visit was more than just a celebration; it was a profound learning experience. Our students, not only had the chance to honour the bravehearts who defend our boundaries, but also gained a deeper understanding of the sacrifices these men  make every day. The interaction left a lasting impression on the students, filling them with pride and a renewed sense of patriotism.

We are incredibly proud of our students for representing our School with grace and poise. The visit enriched their personalities and has been a source of immense pride for our entire School community.

As we continue to provide our students with meaningful experiences that go beyond the classroom, this visit to the Army Headquarters on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan stands out as a highlight.  We look forward to more opportunities to connect our students with the real heroes of our nation.
