Class 7 excursion to the School eco park
On February 13, 2025, 98 xlass 7 students and 4 teachers visited the School Eco Park on an educational excursion blending science and environmental awareness. The students explored life-sized scientific models, learning about concepts like optical illusion, mass conservation, DNA, and angular momentum.
In addition to scientific learning, students had the chance to observe sustainable farming and healthy living by participating in the harvesting of fresh produce. They gained a deeper understanding of where their food comes from and the importance of eco-friendly farming practices. This activity not only taught them about sowing and nurturing but also emphasised the value of eating fresh, locally grown produce and living a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
The morning encouraged active exploration and discovery, and the students were fully immersed in a learning environment that allowed them to directly apply the knowledge they had gained in the classroom. The trip was not just about learning scientific concepts but also about fostering environmental awareness, encouraging students to become stewards of the planet and responsible global citizens.
By connecting abstract classroom concepts to tangible, real-world experiences, the excursion provided an invaluable learning opportunity. The students left the park with a deeper appreciation for science and nature, and a renewed sense of curiosity and responsibility toward the environment.
This kind of experiential learning is essential in shaping the students' understanding of the world and inspiring them to continue exploring, questioning, and discovering throughout their academic journeys.
