Class III Excursion to a Temple and a Gurudwara
The students of class III went for an excursion to the ISKON Temple and a Gurudwara on 3 September, 2013.The children were briefed in class before the excursion about what they could expect to see at both places of worship.
As we entered, the temple, the children excited. One Ms. Kumar a devotee at the temple showed us around and told the tale of Lord Krishna, as she we walked us past the exhibits. She led us to chant Hare Krishna Hare Rama for well- being and inner strength. We were all delighted to enjoy the Prasad offered.
Next, we reached the Gurudwara at located in Srinivaspuri. As the children entered the Gurudwara they were required to cover their heads with scarves and to take off their shoes. They were then shown the Darbar Sahib where the Guru Granth Sahib was carefully preserved. We saw people offering prayers in the hall as the Shabad shlokas were being recited. The Karah prashad was also distributed among the children.

The children seemed interested and quietly absorbed what they saw.
Soon it was time to return to School and the children reluctantly boarded the buses. But back in the classroom, once refreshed, each child drew his/ her most remembered visual of the morning as a sweet remembrance.
