On Saturday, 18 July 2026, 40 students from Classes 5 and 6 (20 from each class) visited the National Science Centre, to participate in a special workshop celebrating Moon Landing Day. The visit provided an engaging opportunity to explore space science through experiential learning.
At the interactive workshop, students learned about the Moon's formation, its role as Earth's natural satellite, its phases, the formation of craters, and the dark and light regions visible on its surface. Informative discussions and visual demonstrations deepened their understanding of lunar features and the significance of space exploration.
The students also enjoyed a 20-minute show on the solar system, which took them on a virtual journey through the planets and other celestial bodies. They later explored the Science Centre's interactive galleries, where hands'-on exhibits helped them to observe scientific principles in action and appreciate their connection to everyday life.
The visit was a perfect blend of learning, discovery and enjoyment. It strengthened the students' understanding of the Moon, the solar system and space exploration while inspiring curiosity, scientific thinking and a spirit of inquiry.
